My child had a message for me.
And, for the longest time I couldn't hear it. I operated from a place of fear (what if she doesn't thrive?) and programming (adults know better than the little humans). At the time she was born, I did not know that mother and baby are intricately connected and that she was whispering to me all along.Â
She guided me to the people and books that would open my mind to what true, developmental sovereignty is and what it looks like to live a life that truly supports a child's Soul calling despite conventional norms.Â
Finally, I heard her message, "You are worthy."
This is no small feat. I think as adults, in the systems that we grew up in, we have a lot of deprogramming to do in order to find our way back to ourselves.Â
When we know better, we have to do better and while I do struggle sometimes to wrap my mind around doing something that is not familiar, has not been modeled for me, I do trust my intuition explicitly. And I am so grateful for all those who walked the path before us and blazed a trail.
In this process, I've been reconciling how my early parenting was authoritative and hardly left room for my child to have agency. Lots of ho'oponopono.
Truly understanding that our little humans come to us with their own wisdom and we would do well to listen was transformative for me. I wanted to share everything I learned and continue to learn so all children can grow up deeply connected to their own intuition.
Hence, Perfect Child, was born.
Honor the Child
PERFECT CHILD’S MISSION IS TO BOLDLY ENCOURAGE ALL ADULTS TO RECEIVE THE CHILDREN IN REVERENCE.
What does that mean? What does it mean to respect the children? Exactly. If that is a question, this is why Perfect Child exists.
Love your child unconditionally. Know that they are perfect humans being born into an imperfect world. Those who have walked the unknown paths have found joy. But, chances are, anything that you might be thinking has probably already been done. Ask, and you will find support. Where there is love, there can be no fear.
The work we do here is largely self-work. We do the work of deprogramming from the systems so that our children can grow up rooted in Self-assuredness and deeply connected to their intuition.
