The Golden Hour of Birth with Whitney Tiller

This conversation that I share with Whitney Tiller of Wildflower Lactation brings me so much joy! There are so many moments of yumminess as Whitney shares the most important tender moments of birthing - something that the industrial birthing complex overlooks which is a disservice to mothers, babies, and, frankly, humanity as a whole. The Golden Hour, as Whitney references, is the fourth stage of birth/labor and it is skin-to-skin contact directly after the baby has come out of the womb. It's best when it is immediately after, but even for adoptive parents, skin-to-skin is an important practice with your baby for bonding and if we're going to get woo-woo (which is a real thing), it creates a spiritual connection as well.
